Thought I should come up with something to spice up your day. Yeah, I’m glad the Yankees won and everything, but I came across this at iYankees, and it was pretty interesting.
It seems that the two outfielders are willing to learn to play first, but with Giambino leaving at the end of the season and a young, sluggin’ someone named Mark Teixeira available, why bother? Damon and Matsui are both in their 30’s, and are in the final year of their contracts. At this point, the outfield seems spacy enough, but the problem starts with Jorge Posada. Perhaps Damon & Hideki can learn how to catch, huh? Amusing.
