Johnny Damon, once the scruffy face of the Boston Red Sox, have finally broken out in rage. After blasting his teammates after the 7-0 loss to the Red Sox, he injures his shoulder trying to catch a near-homer blast by Kevin Youkilis in a eventual July 4th 6-4 loss. After slamming his shoulder on the fence, Damon slumped onto the ground while the ball stayed unmoving on top of the wall. The injury news isn’t clear, but Damon expects to miss at least a couple of days, which means more playing time for Brett Gardner. The weirdest triple in a while, isn’t it? No argument, I doubt there will be any more hits like this. Btw, did you see Jason Varitek’s chest protector made just for July 4th? Pretty amusing…not.
Season going nowhere for the Pinstriped Pride which the Steinbrenners spent 200 million on. Like Damon said, the New York Yankees are running out of time…to turn their season around.
