Darrell Rasner lost again. Not a surprise to all us Yankee fans. After a glorious start this season, Rasner has gone steadily downhill, and is currently on a losing streak. Oliver Perez, who has his ups and downs this season, helped the Mets beat the Yankees 3-1 by allowing just 4 hits in 7 innings. Carlos Delgado, who had a monster 9 RBI, 2 HR performance in Game One of the doubleheader a few days ago, homered again today. Our faithful captain, Derek Jeter, provided the only punch (along with Wilson Betemit’s RBI) by having multiple hits again Perez. This is a surprise, as we Yankees have always dominated the Subway Series, winning all but 2 since 1997. The Mets take this season’s Subway Series, 4-2!!! (Big reason is because Wang is injured…) Yahoo! Sports even posted a ridiculous statement that the Mets are the new stars of the New York Circus, replacing the Yankees. Curse the reporters!!! The Yanks will always be the show of NY, just wait.
Well, Matsui is on the 15-day DL. Cross your fingers and hope that he returns after 15 days, not out for the whole season. We need Matsui’s consistent hitting and whacking and clutch RBI-driving-in.
