Darrell Rasner lost again. Not a surprise to all us Yankee fans. After a glorious start this season, Rasner has gone steadily downhill, and is currently on a losing streak. Oliver Perez, who has his ups and downs this season, helped the Mets beat the Yankees 3-1 by allowing just 4 hits in 7 innings. [...]

Well, bad news in Yankee Nation. Hideki Matsui, one of the best DHs in the league and the most consistent hitter in the Yankees, is heading to the 15-day DL because of his injured knee. Losing Matsui not only loses good hitting, but also provides a headache because Johnny Damon is also having minor [...]

Congrats on Pettitte for winning against the Mets! The final game of the ‘08 Subway Series at Shea Stadium will be a classic duel. (I hope.) Darrell Rasner against Oliver Perez, both not-so-good pitchers.
Heres a weird video of Yankees vs. Mets, Lego Style:

Andy Pettitte continued his ace self, pitching the Yankees to a 3-2 win over the Mets and their ace, Johan Santana. Pettitte allowed only solo homers from David Wright and Ramon Castro. Helped by Cano’s surging power, and RBIs from Giambino and Jorge, New York Yankees helped Pettitte win his 7th (or is it 8th?) [...]

Dan Giese was horribly roughed up by the Mets and of course, Carlos Delgado’s Mets record 9 RBI in one game. Mike Pelfrey managed to hold the Yankees’ bats at bay, and the Mets proceeded to rout the helpless Yanks 15-6 in the first game of the Doubleheader, at Yankee Stadium.
Looks like my predictions were [...]

Well, against our crosstown rivals the New York Mets, the Yankees are sending pitcher Dan Giese, who got outdueled by Cinccinnati Reds ace Edinson Volquez in his last outing, and Sidney Ponson, who the Yanks just signed to a contract. My guess is that Dan Giese will prevail in the first game of the Doubleheader, [...]

Well, after the Yankees got off to a real great 1st inning and Mike Mussina seemed bound for his AL lead-tying 11th win, rain poured down and ruined it all. The statistics of Jeter, Damon, Alex Rodriguez, and the others won’t count. Dang the luck! Plus, all the other AL EAST contenders won today…this stinks [...]

As the Yanks battle their way in the Interleague games, I suppose I’ll write something about some trade rumors. The deadline is a little more than a month away, so Brian Cashman had better make some good deals. Missing out on Johan Santana and keeping the worst of the “Big Three” (Phil Hughes, to be [...]

The Bombers are showing that they are still 90-win teams, continuing their surge in the notorious AL EAST division. The Red Sox won the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0 today, and the overrated Rays routed the young Marlins, 15-3. However, we Yanks also did great today behind our future ace Joba Chamberlain, ripping the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-0. [...]
